Boy, do I have a pile of scrap fabrics (and yarns)!  Big pieces and small pieces and everything in between.  The trick is managing it all.

I  like to cut leftover fabric into 2 1/2 inch strips, separating light from dark because I find this width very useful in a variety of projects and easily manageable when cut into triangles using a Judy Hopkins ScrapMaster ruler. I also cut 3 1/2″, 3″, 2″, and 1 1/2″ strips and separate each of these into piles.

I store each of these groupings in shoe boxes or plastic bins so I can easily see what is inside.
